Hakone Ginyu Hotel, Hakone

I was absolutely blown away by the dining experience at Hakone Ginyu. The kaiseki dinner was a beautifully orchestrated event featuring 7 or 8 exquisite courses that truly showcased the artistry of Japanese cuisine. Each dish was not only delicious but also presented in a way that was visually stunning. They were incredibly accommodating and even adjusted some dishes to cater to my husband's food allergies without any hesitation. It was definitely more than just a meal; it was a culinary journey!

The private onsen at Hakone Ginyu was a major highlight of my stay. I loved having a personal hot tub right on the balcony where I could soak while overlooking the serene mountain scenery. The experience was incredibly soothing, and it brought a sense of calmness that I haven't felt in a long time. The shared public onsens were just as divine, and I found the whole atmosphere to be truly rejuvenating.

I stayed in a Hoshi Japanese style room and it was absolutely stunning! The traditional tatami flooring and the low dining table made for an authentic experience. The room was spacious, with an outdoor onsen that provided amazing views. I really appreciated the hidden seating area, which made it easier for my back and knees. I felt like I was in a cozy retreat designed to pamper us while immersing us in Japanese culture.

The bathroom facilities in our room were fantastic. It had a beautiful shower area that provided a picture-perfect view of the mountains, creating a relaxing ambiance that was very much appreciated. The integration of modern amenities within a traditional setting was done with great care. Every time I used the bathroom, it felt more like a spa experience than just a functional space, which added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.
